  18.   Setpatch turns on all of the caches, burst mode, superscalar operation, by
  19. default, and that seems to get the best speed.

  22. runs into problems with them.  I have one program that had trouble with the
  23. '060, and by trial and error found that turning off instruction branch caching
  24. (I think, I'd have to look at the script I wrote to be sure) let it work with
  25. the least system slowdown.  If you do have problems, trial and error is the
  26. only way I can think of to find them.

  28.   Turning off the instruction and data caches will cause a dramatic loss of
  29. speed; slower than an '040!
